Stereotypes are generalizations about a group of people that many belive, but are often untrue.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SEX AND GENDER

Sex is an act of mating while gender is a fact of being a male or a female.

Sex refers to the physical characteristics that define men and women.

Gender refers to characteristics that society or culture decides are more masculine or more feminine. It usually has to do with what culture thinks is appropriate i.e gender characteristics will change depending on the culture of a particular place.
